Applications for Chair of Council, 2017

The Medical Student Council of Victoria (MSCV) is proud to announce that applications are now open for the position of Chair of Council for 2017. MSCV is the peak representative body for Victorian medical students and is at the forefront of the big issues facing medical students.

The Chair of MSCV is the most senior medical student advocacy position in Victoria and is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of engaged student leaders, represent Victorian medical students, run state-level advocacy campaigns and oversee major student-run events. The role requires a significant personal time commitment. Students from all four Victorian Medical Schools are eligible to apply.

Each applicant will be required to submit a CV and a vision statement (no more than three hundred words in length). These must be emailed to your respective MedSoc President by 11. 59pm on Sunday, 16th of October 2016.

Applicants must also be available to attend the Council meeting on the evening of the 19th of October 2016, to be held at the University of Melbourne, Parkville campus.

For position descriptions and details about the Chair’s roles, as well as specific details of the applications and election process, applicants are strongly encouraged to independently contact the current Chair, Nathan Abraham (chair@mscv.org.au).
